Viridiana Alvarez Chávez, a Mexican mountaineer, born in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Education

She has 10 years of experience in the automotive and manufacturing industries and is currently the director of her business consulting firm “Liderazgo de Altura”.
She left the office job, risking comfort to experience the magic of the mountains, and in just 8 years of mountaineering, she has achieved the unimaginable:
- The first woman from the American continent to climb the world’s fourteen highest mountains, all above eight thousand meters.
- The first Latina to climb K2, the world’s second highest mountain and one of the most dangerous.
- Guinness World Record for the fastest ascent of the world’s three highest mountains using supplementary oxygen. Record title: “Fastest ascent of the top three highest mountains with supplementary oxygen – Female”.
Viridiana is the first woman in history to complete both the 14 eight-thousanders and the 7 highest peaks of each continent.
She climbed the world’s 14 highest mountains, mainly in the Himalayan range in Nepal, the Karakoram range in Pakistan, and Tibet in China.
Additionally, she conquered the highest peaks of each continent, including Everest in Asia, Aconcagua in South America, Denali in North America, Elbrus in Europe, Kilimanjaro in Africa, Carstensz in Oceania, and Mount Vinson in Antarctica.
